gumnut
Built for Australian money

An unpaid, invite-only pilot for Australian households managing salary and rental income.

Build a shared plan. Your bank connections stay yours: you choose, account by account, whether the household uses them, and a joint account shows for each of you through your own bank consent. Gumnut learns what a normal month looks like, connects to your banks through the Consumer Data Right and shows where the month is heading.

Join the free pilot Bookkeepers: join the research list Twenty Australian households. No charge during the pilot.
Gumnut Home screen: the month ring with what's left in the plan, the next bill's card with its saved amount, and two tiles Gumnut Cash ahead screen: the lowest point in the next ninety days and the fix to preview

One number a day

What's left in your month's plan after the bills and the loans, and a dated warning when an account looks like running short. Share the plan you enter. Your bank data stays yours: share an account, or keep it totals only.

See the big bills early

Insurance renewals, rates and land tax: when Gumnut knows a bill is coming, from your plan or your bank's own schedule, it tells you 30 days out what to put aside. When it can only estimate, it says so.

Tax, put aside as you go

Every dollar carries a tax status. Variable income and rental properties: Gumnut estimates what to set aside each pay from inputs you confirm, labelled as an estimate. Your accountant still lodges.

How it works

1Say what a normal month looks likeImport your spreadsheet or let Gumnut read ninety days of history and suggest the plan.
2Connect your banks and cardsThrough the Consumer Data Right, with your bank's own login. Gumnut never sees a password and never moves money.
3Sort the odd one out, win the monthAnything that doesn't fit lands in your Inbox, one tap to sort. Come in under budget and you can plan the difference toward a goal.

We are researching how a practice would use this.

The pilot is for households. If you look after clients' books and want to tell us what would help, join the research list. Nothing here gives a practice access to a client's data.

Questions

Can Gumnut move my money? No, and it never will. It plans a transfer and reminds you with the amount; you make it in your bank.
How does it get my transactions?Through the Consumer Data Right, with a consent you give at your bank and can withdraw any time. Gumnut never holds a bank login.
Is the tax estimate advice? It's general information worked out from your own numbers, inputs you confirm and the published rates, and it is labelled an estimate. Your accountant still lodges.
What does my partner see?The plan you both enter. Your bank accounts are yours: you choose, account by account, whether this household uses them, and each account is Shared or Totals only, your choice. Shared names who sees what until your bank consent ends; Totals only counts the figures and keeps the transactions with you. The pilot has no bookkeeper access.
